For Teachers

A classroom platform that grades the writing, too.

Assign, dispatch, grade, and see what every student knows — without losing your Sunday night to a stack of constructed-response essays.

The Problem

You don't need another LMS. You need help grading.

The LMS your district bought tracks assignment completion. It doesn't tell you whether the kid actually understands the material. The auto-grader handles multiple choice — fine, you've seen that before — but the moment a question requires a paragraph of writing or a worked solution, you're back to a stack of paper at 9pm on Sunday.

And when a student fails a unit test, the LMS shows you a score. It doesn't show you which prerequisite concept actually broke. So you re-teach the whole unit and hope the kid who's stuck on something three chapters back catches up by accident.

AccelaStudy AI Classroom solves both. The same engine that powers our certification platform grades constructed responses against the rubric you set, and the same engine traces a wrong answer back to the prerequisite concept that's actually missing. You spend less time grading and more time teaching.

What you get

  1. Feature 01 04

    Assignments

Assign to a class, a section, a group, or one specific kid.

Build an assignment around a domain, a sub-domain, a list of specific concepts, or a curated list of activities. Set a due date, a late policy, and a grading rubric. Publish to the whole class or just the three kids who need the extra push.

    • Target by class, section, period, group, or individual
    • Standards-aligned: every activity maps to ≥1 standard (CCSS / NGSS / TEKS / state framework)
    • Late-policy presets — no late, late penalty, late OK with note — applied per assignment
    • Bulk reassign or push out the deadline class-wide with one click
  2. Feature 02 04

    Grading

Auto-graded MCQ + AI-graded constructed response. You sign off.

Multiple-choice and short-answer items grade themselves the second the student submits. Essays, lab write-ups, free-response math, paragraph-length responses — the engine grades against your rubric and shows you the score plus the reasoning. You override anything you disagree with. The override is the final grade.

    • AI grading uses the same rubric pipeline that powers our certification platform
    • Per-student score breakdown, with concept-level justification
    • Manual override on any item — your override sticks; the AI grade stays in the audit log
    • Bulk-override patterns (e.g. "give 50% credit on every item flagging X")
  3. Feature 03 04

    Analytics

See the standards heatmap, not just the gradebook.

A 2D heatmap of class × standard tells you which concepts your class is collectively weak on and which students need targeted support. Click any cell to drill into the student or the standard. Per-student profile shows readiness trajectory across every standard you've covered.

    • Class-wide concept-weakness heatmap, refreshed live
    • Per-student standards-mastery profile, exportable as PDF for conferences
    • Engagement signals: "who hasn't logged in this week", "who's stuck on this concept"
    • Trajectory toward exam date if you've set one
  4. Feature 04 04

    Co-Teach + Roster

    Co-teachers, sub-teachers, and bell-schedule sections.

Add a co-teacher or a paraprofessional to any class. Bell-schedule metadata (period, room number) so your gradebook makes sense at a glance. Roster import from CSV; integration with Google Classroom and Microsoft 365 (Schools tier) for live sync.

    • Multiple teachers per class with shared visibility
    • Class / section / period / bell-schedule metadata baked in
    • CSV roster import; Schools-tier districts get live OneRoster sync

The result

Hours saved per week

Most teachers report getting 4–8 hours back per week from AI-graded constructed response.

Better standards coverage

The heatmap surfaces gaps in your scope-and-sequence you didn't realize were there.

Targeted interventions

Stop re-teaching whole units. The engine tells you which 3 kids need which prerequisite.

Parent-conference-ready

One-page per-student PDF you can hand a parent without staying late to write it.

Frequently asked

Is the AI grading any good?

Our internal agreement-with-teacher rate is north of 90% on constructed response. You override anything you disagree with, the override sticks, and the audit log keeps both the AI score and your override so you can see drift over time.

What if I don't trust AI grading?

Use it as a first pass and override everything. Or disable AI grading per assignment and grade by hand. Or disable it class-wide. Your gradebook, your call.

How does the standards mapping work?

Every activity in our content corpus is tagged with the standards it covers — CCSS, NGSS, state frameworks (TEKS, NY P-12, FL B.E.S.T., CA Content Standards, others). When you assign an activity to a class, the standards rollup updates automatically. No manual tagging required.

Can I bring my own content?

Not in Year 1. Every assignment targets activities in our content corpus. We're prioritizing depth + standards alignment over teacher-uploads. If there's a specific topic missing for your class, email us and we'll add it.

How is this different from the LMS my district already has?

We're not trying to replace the LMS. AccelaStudy AI Classroom plugs into Canvas / Google Classroom / Schoology / Blackboard via LTI 1.3 (Schools tier) — grades pass back to the LMS gradebook automatically. We do the adaptive part; the LMS keeps doing the LMS part.

Is it really free for individual teachers?

Yes. Sign up with your school email; create classes; invite students via code. No paywall, no credit card, no time limit. The Schools tier is for districts that want SSO, OneRoster, LTI, and district-level analytics.
