For Schools and Districts

Free for kids. Paid for the plumbing.

Schools and districts that want SSO, OneRoster sync, LTI grade passback, and district-level analytics get all of it on the Schools tier. Everything else stays free for every student, teacher, and parent.

The Problem

Free tools are great until your district needs to roll them out at scale.

Individual teachers can sign up for AccelaStudy AI Classroom for free — and many already have. But once a district commits to a platform, the conversation shifts. You need SSO so teachers and students don't manage another password. You need roster sync so adding a kid to a class doesn't mean asking a teacher to import a CSV. You need LTI launch from Canvas or Google Classroom so the LMS your district just spent two years rolling out stays the canonical surface. And you need a signed agreement under FERPA's school-official exception so your legal team can sign off.

The Schools tier is exactly that plumbing — the integrations and contractual posture districts need to deploy AccelaStudy AI Classroom across every school. The learning features themselves don't change: same engine, same content corpus, same standards mapping, same free experience for every student. The Schools tier handles the operational side.

What you get

  1. Feature 01 06

    Single Sign-On

Google Workspace for Education and Microsoft 365 Education.

OIDC SSO against the directory your district already runs. Teachers and students sign in with their district credentials — no separate AccelaStudy AI password to forget. Role mapping (teacher / student / admin) flows from the directory automatically.

    • Google Workspace for Education OIDC
    • Microsoft 365 Education OIDC (Entra ID)
    • Role and group mapping driven by directory claims
    • Just-in-time provisioning on first sign-in
  2. Feature 02 06

    Roster Sync

    OneRoster 1.2 with per-vendor adapters.

Live sync from your SIS or roster provider. Classes, sections, enrollments, terms, and grade-level data refresh on a schedule (typically nightly). No CSV imports, no manual roster maintenance, no "this kid switched periods" panic.

    • OneRoster 1.2 (CSV and REST)
    • Native adapters for Google Classroom, Clever, ClassLink, Aeries; others on request
    • Configurable sync frequency: hourly / nightly / on-demand
    • Drift detection: alerts when the SIS and our state diverge
  3. Feature 03 06

    LMS Integration

LTI 1.3 launch + AGS grade passback.

Launch AccelaStudy AI Classroom assignments from Canvas, Google Classroom, Schoology, Blackboard, or Moodle. Grades pass back to the LMS gradebook via the LTI Assignment and Grade Service. Your LMS stays the source of truth for grades; we plug in as the adaptive engine.

    • LTI 1.3 deep linking + LTI Advantage
    • Assignment and Grade Service (AGS) grade passback
    • Names and Roles Provisioning Service (NRPS) for roster
    • Tested against Canvas, Google Classroom, Schoology, Blackboard, Moodle
  4. Feature 04 06

    District Analytics

    Cross-school, cross-grade, cross-cohort.

District-level dashboards that aggregate the same standards-mastery data teachers see in their gradebooks, rolled up by school, by grade level, by demographic cohort. Outcome correlation with state assessment data where available.

    • Per-school dashboards rolling up class-level mastery
    • Per-grade comparisons across schools
    • Cohort analysis with PII-redacted exports
    • Quarterly district outcome report (PDF or live dashboard)
  5. Feature 05 06

    Custom Branding

District logo, district domain, district voice.

Optional custom branding for districts that want a co-branded experience for teachers and parents. District logo on the student / teacher / parent portals, district domain alias (e.g. accelastudy.lausd.k12.ca.us), district color override.

    • District logo on app shell + email templates
    • Subdomain alias on your CNAME
    • Per-tenant brand-color override
    • Optional district-specific landing page on the marketing site
  6. Feature 06 06

    FERPA + Compliance

Signed school-official addendum. Per-district KMS keys available.

AccelaStudy AI operates as a "school official with legitimate educational interest" under FERPA's school-official exception. Data Processing Addendum and FERPA addendum are templated and signed before activation. Optional per-district KMS keys for at-rest encryption tenancy. EU data residency available for international deployments.

    • FERPA addendum signed before any data flows
    • DPA covering CCPA, state student-data-privacy acts (SOPIPA, NY Ed. Law 2-d, etc.)
    • Per-district KMS keys available on request
    • EU + Australia data residency for international districts

The result

Deploy in days, not quarters

SSO + roster sync + LTI launch up and running in a typical 10-day pilot.

Teachers already love it

Pilot adoption rate from the free tier is the highest leading indicator we have. If your teachers have already signed up individually, district rollout is downhill.

No vendor lock-in on grades

Your LMS stays the gradebook of record. We pass grades back; we don't hold them hostage.

Audit-ready

Every gradebook write and every teacher override has an immutable audit log. State auditors and parent records requests are answered with a query, not a search.

Frequently asked

What's the pricing model?

Per-student, per-year, with district-volume tiers. Pilot pricing is heavily discounted (or free) for the first cohort of design-partner districts. Contact schools@accelastudy.ai for a quote sized to your district.

Do individual teachers in our district have to wait for the district contract?

No. Free-tier sign-ups stay open to anyone. Once your district signs the contract, those teachers' classes can migrate to the district tenant without losing data.

Can we host this on-prem?

Not in Year 1. AccelaStudy AI Classroom is SaaS-only with optional per-district encryption tenancy. On-prem isn't on the roadmap; per-district VPC isolation can be discussed for enterprise / national deployments.

What about state-specific privacy laws?

SOPIPA (California), NY Ed. Law 2-d, Texas SB 820, Florida F.S. 1002.22, and the other major state student-data-privacy frameworks are covered by our DPA. We add new state addenda as they're enacted.

How long does a typical pilot take?

10 school days from contract signature to first classroom: 2 days for SSO + OneRoster wiring, 3 days for LMS integration testing, 5 days for teacher onboarding + first assignments dispatched.

What if our SIS isn't OneRoster-compatible?

We support OneRoster 1.2 natively plus CSV import as a fallback. If your SIS exports a different format, we'll build the adapter (typically 1–2 weeks).
